
IFFLA is back for its 8th year! We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help out with all aspects of our festival, April 20-25, 2010 at ArcLight Hollywood, an elegant, state-of-the-art facility on Sunset and Vine in Hollywood.
Volunteers will have an opportunity to see how a festival comes together and a chance to interact with our audience and a very diverse and talented group of filmmakers and film industry executives. And don't forget that as a volunteer you will have the opportunity to earn passes to watch some amazing flims!
Volunteer Mixer
We are very excited to have our first IFFLA volunteer mixer. Please come and join us at ZEN ZOO TEA on Thursday, February 25, 2010, 7pm-9pm. This a great opportunity to meet the IFFLA staff, interns and other volunteers. The location is 1517 N. Vine St., Los Angeles, CA 90028 and parking is free for the first hour and $2.00 every 20 minutes after that. Festival Video Crew Producer
Experienced Video Crew Producer needed to coordinate coverage of the 2010 Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) to take place on April 20-25 at the ArcLight Hollywood. Events to cover include opening and closing red carpet galas, award ceremonies, filmmaker interviews, Q&A sessions, panels, and nightly receptions.
Candidates should have some experience coordinating live events and would be able to work fast and efficiently to collect footage, organize it and create edited material for press and EPK needs. The field producer will supervise and assemble the production team which should include the producer, 2 camera operators, 1-2 sound personnel and 2 editors prepared to cover a week of festival activities. The field producer will coordinate all production with the publicity department of IFFLA.
All crew will need to provide their own equipment for an HD workflow. Experience working in a PAL workflow is a plus. The necessary equipment includes two HD cameras, mics and mixers, and ideally, a portable HD editing station for the Gala nights. Teams are encouraged to apply but individuals can submit their own resumes. Experience with shooting events is a plus. In addition to being posted on the festival website, collected footage will be sent out to various media outlets in both the United States and India.
While there is minimal pay, all crew will be accredited for festival activities around their documentation responsibilities. Furthermore, expenses will be reimbursed.

Will Call Coordinator
The Will Call Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of pass sales and management of Will Call table.
This is a part-time temporary position: Mid March to end of April. 5-10 hours a week with the week prior to the festival 20 hours and the week of the festival available full time.

The Comp Ticket Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of complimentary festival tickets, and works under the supervision of the Will Call Coordinator.
