
The Eighth Annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) seeks narratives, documentaries, shorts, music videos, experimental, children's and animated films of any length and format for our 2010 festival taking place April 20-25 at ArcLight Hollywood, a state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Los Angeles. Jury and Audience Choice prizes will be awarded for best feature, documentary and short film.
IFFLA 2009 saw rise in attendance, publicity, and support from major US studios. Over 7,000 attended the festival which screened 37 films. In addition to providing a premier showcase for their films, IFFLA also fosters access for filmmakers in attendance to distributors, agents, producers and other entertainment professionals based in Hollywood.
Previous premieres at the festival include YES MADAM, SIR (Megan Doneman), FIRAAQ (Nandita Das), SITA SINGS THE BLUES (Nina Paley), FAKIR OF VENICE (Anand Surapur), QUICK GUN MURUGAN (Shashank Ghosh), AMAL (Richie Mehta), FROZEN (Shivajee Chandrabhushan), WATER (Deepa Mehta), LOINS OF PUNJAB PRESENTS (Manish Acharya), VANAJA (Rajnesh Domalpalli), and BLACK FRIDAY (Anurag Kashyap) among others.
