This brutal and thought-provoking drama, directed by award-winning cinematographer Santosh Sivan, was inspired by events surrounding the assassination of Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Ghandi.

At 19 years old, Malli has spent most of her life training to be a revolutionary. When she is awarded a coveted suicide bomber position, Malli believes that this is the mission she was meant to fulfill. As she prepares for the event, Malli begins to contemplate the world and its beauty, and is torn as she seeks answers where none may exist.
