IFFLA 2007 Family Focus presents one film program, the Storyboard
Contest and the Video Showcase.
IFFLA 2007 will present one film program that will consist of a feature-length
film. The director will be present to introduce their film and participate
in a Q&A with the audience. This program will be screened on Sunday,
April 22, 2007 at noon at ArcLight Hollywood.
The
fourth annual IFFLA Storyboard Contest invited California youths between
the ages of 8 and 12 to create a series of drawings based on a variation
on Aesop’s “The Ants and the Grasshopper.” Ten finalists
and their families are invited to an honorary breakfast reception where
the winner will be announced. Storyboards of all finalists will be displayed
in the IFFLA Lounge at ArcLight Hollywood.

an undivided human race.” Its purpose is to open new horizons
to children and to help them learn more about themselves in the process.
Currently, in addition to writing the Jadyn series, Brigitte owns and
runs a preschool, and reviews children’s books for magazines.
In addition to the Storyboard Contest, IFFLA 2007 Family Focus includes
the Video Showcase, a program that calls for submissions of films up
to ten minutes in length by young people under 18. Selected films will
be screened in the IFFLA Lounge at ArcLight Hollywood during the Storyboard
Contest breakfast reception. This year’s films are INDELIBLE by
Elizabeth Kim, a lighthearted look at young love and its lasting impression,
and SUNNY ROAD by Lizzie Barcay, a music video which examines the bittersweet
taste of love lost twice. Both filmmakers are students of Harvard Westlake
Upper School.
