Promoting Green and Sustainable Practices to Filmmakers IFFLA encourages filmmakers to reduce their carbon footprint and create green films by giving them access to a “Green Resource Guide for Filmmaking”. Filmmakers are also provided group housing options and carpool transportation to and from events. When possible, hybrid cars are used.
Sustainable practices at our Galas and Special Events IFFLA reduces its carbon footprint at its various events with the use of compostable tableware. All attendees are encouraged to walk to the gala venues or utilize the provided shuttles. The water provided at IFFLA events comes from a sustainable resource and the bottles are recyclable. Festival guests receive sustainable gift bags with eco-friendly products.
Printing IFFLA is partnering with printers using recycled paper and soy based inks. The festival has also created an online brochure to encourage attendees and guests an option to pre-plan their festival experience.
