The son of famous film composer S.D. Burman, Rahul Dev Burman placed his own special stamp on the Indian film music of the late sixties. Over the next two decades, his songs and compositions were all the rage, often outshining the films they were featured in. And almost a decade after his passing, his music continues to have an ardent and faithful following as well as a lasting influence on the style and technique of composers today. Mumbai-based writer and filmmaker Brahmanand Singh's latest work, PANCHAM UNMIXED explores Burman's life and persona and is laced with anecdotes recalled by some of his closest friends and colleagues including director Vidhu Vinod Chopra and the legendary singer Asha Bhosle.
