When Nisha (Kapoor) injures herself, Rahul (Khan) sets out looking for a replacement for his play's lead star. After much persuasion following a chance meeting, he casts the graceful and hypnotic Pooja (Dixit). A mutual attraction blossoms but Pooja consciously restrains herself from openly reciprocating Rahul's feelings. When Rahul finds out why, he begins revising his play at every turn to mirror his relationship with Pooja, while struggling to maintain his friendship with Nisha and the rest of his troupe.
