Asian Vibes Bombay explores the exciting music emerging from a frenetic metropolis with a "work hard, party hard" philosophy by examining the effect of the dominant film music industry on an emerging DJ culture. This is evidenced by the fact that club remixes of old Bollywood songs are topping current music charts. Dance beats and electronic rhythms meld with film song melodies, creating a hybrid that appeals to all generations. The documentary tracks down the composers and creators of the original tunes as well as the inspired DJs defining a new sound through their experimentation with local and global influences.

Combining underground video aesthetics, archival Bollywood clips and an exploratory documentary approach, Asian Vibes Bombay celebrates the spirit of a truly global 21st century India.
