Chandu rises from petty theft into Malik's underworld activities. A company is started by these men who seek power. Malik controls his employees through fear and intimidation. Although the exact nature of the business is not entirely revealed, it is the blood of the slain that keeps the machine well-oiled. The company's greed and power escalate until finally it grows beyond its means and threatens to implode.

Director Ram Gopal Varma's crime epic focuses on the circular and self-defeating nature of revenge and the ultimate destruction of all who seek it.
